Tannat
Originally from Maridan, it was introduced to Uruguay by Pascual Harriague in 1870. Its acclimation and expansion were so great that today it is the emblematic variety of our country. It is characterized by producing wines with high polyphenol content, very intense color, and a lot of body.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: Very intense ruby color with violet hues
On the nose: Aromas of fruit jams such as fig, plum or blackberry
Palate: Great amplitude, with lots of structure, harmonious thanks to its silky tannins. The finish is long with fruity notes
Serving temperature: 18°C – 20°C
Pairing: Grilled or oven-baked red meats and fatty cheeses
